Life after high school has been one embarrassment after another and it really didn't hit me until yesterday at work. In an attempt to get a co-worker to warm up to me, I asked her to tell me something about herself that I would never have guessed. She froze up for a moment and then replied to be specific. That she'd only answer questions that I asked. I asked her what her most embarrassing moment was and after hesitating, she decided she really didn't have any. I laughed and replied, "you're joking, right?" After realizing that she was serious, I proceeded to tell her of mine, starting with my photographer internship at the newspaper...

Every day, when everyone comes into work, we all would sit at our cubicles (in which we can see and hear EVERYTHING that goes on) and check our voicemails, and log into our computers, etc. We had usernames and passwords and such that needed to be changed every so many weeks for privacy protection. Well, I had taken a week off to visit a friend in Iowa and upon returning realized that my username and password were invalid. I was advised to call techsupport to have them walk me through the latest update that I had missed.

Techsupport:"What seems to be the problem?"
Me: "I was out of town for the last system update and can't seem to login"

Techsupport:"Let me see what I can do. What is your username?"
Me: TGoforth
Techsupport:"Ok. And what is your current password?"
Me: (hesitation while observing my much older and more mature co-workers watching and listening coherently)
Techsupport:"Ma'am, your password?"
Me:" Ifarted."
Techsupport:"Excuse me?"
Me: "Ifarted. My password is Ifarted"
Techsupport:"Can you spell that for me please?"
Me: (head down in shame) "I-F-A-R-T-E-D. I farted"

Seriously, how do these things happen to me?
